Thunbergia Lemon
Black-eyed Susan Vine (Thunbergia alata) is a 6–8′ twiner that usually sports golden-yellow blooms with dark eyes, hence the common name.  'Lemon Star' is a selection with the same dark eyes, but they are surrounded by clear, soft yellow, a color much easier to use in the garden. Plants are vigorous growers that will climb a trellis, pole, or tripod of bamboo stakes. Use them to add height to the back of a border or a large pot. Easy to grow, Thunbergia will bloom until frost, bringing flowers up to eye level. Plants will also cascade out of a hanging basket.
