The Yukon Gold Potato is the first potato bred in Canada to be mass marketed by name. It’s namesake pays homage to the Yukon River and gold rush country. They are extremely popular across North America and are very versatile. They are an early/mid harvest variety and can be harvest at 85 days for “new potato” size or left to grow to 100 days for full development. They are incredibly versatile and can be eaten boiled, baked, fried, grilled, roasted and mashed. Did you know.... the Yukon Gold potato has nearly twice as much Vitamin C as a regular baking potato and it is a good source of potassium.
