Polemonium Touch of Class

Jacob’s ladder, Polemonium caeruleum, is a lovely clump-forming perennial, requiring little maintenance. It performs best in borders with moist but well-drained soil. In early summer it produces bell-shaped flowers, which can be prolonged by regular deadheading. Plants can be propagated by sowing seed in autumn or spring, or by dividing plants in spring.

Polemonium reptans ‘Touch of Class’ is a low-growing perennial, forming a mound of sage-green leaves with white margins. Clusters of fragrant pale-blue flowers appear on tall stems from late spring. It’s ideal for growing at the edge of a shady border or woodland path and it makes an excellent cut flower.
