Kalanchoe Marmorata
Penwiper Plant (Kalanchoe marmorata) A large, resilient succulent with gorgeous foliage. Its leaves have a scalloped edge and a pastel, blue-green base tone. The foliage is ornately patterned with dark purple markings that give a marbleized appearance. It can send up a tall bloom stalk with pure white, tubular flowers. It is native to Central and West Africa where it grows on rocky slopes and pastures and develops into a small shrub.
Soft succulents will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. They need great drainage and infrequent water to prevent rot.
