Crocosmia George Davidson
Bright yellow flowers provide wonderful color and contrast to the perennial border in July-August. Crocosmia George Davidson grows 24-28" tall with green, swordlike foliage and tubular flowers that pollinators love. Its wiry stems make them ideal for cut flowers. The name comes from the Greek language and means "saffron smell," which reportedly can be detected when dried flowers are submerged in water. Crocosmia look best when planted in groups of 12 or more. Plant in full sun to part shade among your perennials. Non-demanding bulbs will come back each year.
